Kazakhstan's export prices dropped 41.4% year-on-year in March, a report from the country's statistical office showed. This was mainly due to a 47.5% fall in raw material prices, and a 31.2% decline in prices of semi finished goods. However, prices of finished goods rose 9.3%.

At the same time, import prices fell 0.7% annually in March, reflecting a 8.4% drop in raw material prices, a 1.8% fall in semi finished goods prices and a 0.3% decline in finished goods prices.

Month-on-month, export prices increased 2.3% and import prices were up 0.1% in March.

During the January-March period, export prices fell 37.3%, but import prices rose 1.6% from the corresponding period in the previous year.
