NEW YORK - KB Home, one of the top five U.S. homebuilders, posted a quarterly profit on Tuesday, helped by a tax benefit.
The company reported earnings of $100.7 million, or $1.31 per share, for the fourth quarter ended on November 30, compared with a loss of $307.3 million, or $3.96 per share, a year earlier.
Revenue fell 27 percent to $674.6 million.
KB shares fell 2 percent to $16.05 in trading before the market opened.
