In the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting, Kesha’s hit single, “Die Young,” is plummeting on the music charts.

"Oh what a shame that you came here with someone/ So while youre here in my arms let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young,” are some of the lyrics to the upbeat party song.

Since last Friday, when it was the No. 3 song played on the radio, airplay for the previously top-charting single has dropped by 19 million, according to TMZ.

On Friday, 20-year-old Adam Lanza went into Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newton, Conn., taking 26 lives, including 20 children.

President Obama spoke at the interfaith vigil in Newtown on Dec. 16 in honor of the victims of the shootings, and said, in part “We gather here in memory of twenty beautiful children and six remarkable adults.

"They lost their lives in a school that could have been any school; in a quiet town full of good and decent people that could be any town in America.

"Here in Newtown, I come to offer the love and prayers of a nation. I am very mindful that mere words cannot match the depths of your sorrow, nor can they heal your wounded hearts.

"I can only hope it helps for you to know that you're not alone in your grief; that our world too has been torn apart; that all across this land of ours, we have wept with you, we've pulled our children tight.”

Two of the young victims, Jack Pinto and Noah Ponza, both six-years-old, were buried on Monday.
