Kendall Jenner is setting the record straight on what really happened between her and a paparazzo in Paris earlier this month. The 20-year-old Victoria’s Secret runway model was accused of punching a photographer after leaving a nightclub with friend Gigi Hadid, but she’s saying that’s not exactly what happened.
According to E! News, Jenner took to her app on Monday to set the record straight and wrote that she had her hands covering her face as she was leaving L’Arc nightclub with Hadid because she was sweaty and didn’t want her picture taken.
“All of a sudden, this paparazzi took his camera and started taking pictures right below my face,” she explained. “It was in my personal space, like centimeters from my body. I was so annoyed. All I ask for is just a bubble of space to breathe, and he disrespected that.”
Jenner said she tried to push the camera away from her at the same time trying to snatch it from the photographer’s hand. “Of course, the side motion with my arms is why all of the pictures look like punches were flying,” she wrote. “They totally weren’t! I just wanted him and his camera out of my face! Later, I asked that he delete the photos, but he wouldn’t.”
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” reality star said her security guard then stepped in and “scared” the paparazzo into removing the images. “He definitely deleted them, which I’m thankful for. Violence is never my thing,” Jenner wrote. “I get that they have a job to do, too — but I’d love it if they gave me a break every now and then.”
Jenner’s “scuffle” with the photographer in Paris isn’t the first time she’s been seen lashing out at paparazzo. Last month, she was caught on video telling a photographer, “You’re not allowed over here!” after he tried snapping photos of her after she narrowly avoided being involved in a car crash.
Jenner’s brother-in-law, Kanye West, has also had several infamous run-ins with paparazzi and her older half-sister, Kim Kardashian, was caught on video yelling at a paparazzo after he touched her car.
