Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett and her mom, Patti Wilkinson, have had a tumultuous relationship over the past years. It is no surprise that the reality star recently admitted that she struggled with her decision to star in a reality show with her mother.

“The decision to do family boot camp with my mom was the toughest decision of my life,” Kendra told E! News. “It really truly was.”

For Kendra, starring in “Marriage Boot Camp” with her husband, Hank Baskett, was an easy decision to make. She did encounter some challenges during the show, but it was not to the point that they put her off the idea of filming with her husband.

Kendra has found it hard to forgive her mother for all that she put her through. The “Girl Next Door” star once claimed that her mother abused her emotionally for a long time. “She is the most sadistic abuser,” Kendra said of Patti.

The mother and daughter had a massive fight in 2013 and ended up airing their dirty laundry all over the media, Daily Mail reported. According to Patti, Kendra allegedly slammed her with all sorts of insults at the time. “She did tell me she hated me, she called me all kinds of names. She ended it with, ‘I hope you die.’ I wouldn’t tell my worst enemy I hope you die. Much less your mother,” said Patti.

Things went further south for Kendra and Patti in 2016. Kendra apparently declared war on her mother after she learned that Patti was working on a tell-all book. The rumors and allegations Patti wrote in the book were reportedly serious enough that Kendra felt like she had to sever her ties to her mom.

“My life will always have a little dent in it because of my mom. She did nothing but add pain to my life - rather than add help or love or comfort,” Kendra said, according to a separate report from Daily Mail.

However, with the help of experts Dr. Ish Major and Dr. Venus Nicolino, things could change for Kendra and Patti. In the upcoming “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family,” Kendra and Patti will discuss their past and try to settle their grievances with each other. Catch the mother and daughter pair when the show premieres on April 28 at 9 p.m. EST on weTV.
