Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love has undergone a transformation, but not of the basketball kind.

The infamous mountain man look, full beard and all, which those who have watched Love throughout this season and seasons past have grown accustomed to, no longer exists, at least for the time being. Loves' teammate, guard Ricky Rubio, shared the power forward's fresh new look via Twitter on Saturday.

Ok, he doesn't look like a mexican anymore but I think he looks even worst... Here is our superstar, Rubio said.

Stereotypes aside, though, what can we make of it? Well, for one, it's hygienic. At the same time, it's almost as if the 23-year-old Love drank from the Fountain of Youth or experienced some sort of Benjamin Button reverse-aging. He looks 10 years younger, ready to play his first game at UCLA all over again.

It's hard to imagine Kevin Love without facial hair, something that has become somewhat of a symbol of his toughness since he entered the NBA in 2008. And, with him sidelined for the rest of the season and the Timberwolves missing out on the playoffs, we may never know just how much a clean-shaven face will affect Love's game.

All in all, the new look will take some getting used to. But don't be surprised if the beard makes its return sooner than later.
