Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian is getting ready for her new venture as a talk show host later this year. She will be launching “Kocktails With Khloe” on the FYI channel. Despite being managed by her mom, Kris Jenner, she is reportedly banning Kris from having anything to do with the show.

“Khloe loves her mother and Kris has been instrumental in making the family succeed on keeping up with the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians'. But Khloe doesn't want or need Kris anywhere near 'Kocktails With Khloe,” said a source.

According to HollywoodLife, Khloe doesn’t want Kris to be associated with her talk show, partly due to the way her mom’s own talk show completely bombed last year. Kris’ self-titled show was cancelled after only one season on FOX. Not only was it cancelled, the show also received a lot of bad press about its quality in general.

Perez Hilton reported that FOX executives were not pleased by the show nor Kris’ performance. Khloe now has an opportunity to make a name for herself in the same field and she does not want any negativity connected to her new venture.

Naturally though, Kris wants to help out. She wants to offer advice on which guests should be invited, right down to Khloe’s wardrobe choices. However, the source reveals that Khloe isn’t having any of it. She doesn’t want to disrespect her mom, but she wants to take full control for this project.

Khloe made the announcement back in July, saying that she’s excited to land the show. The dinner-party themed show will feature guests who will discuss various topics while gathered around Khloe’s dinner table. “Kocktails with Khloe” is reportedly scheduled to start airing before the end of the year.
