Lamar Odom’s estranged wife Khloé Kardashian has put her relationship with Houston Rockets guard James Harden on hold amid Odom's medical crisis, TMZ reported Tuesday, citing sources. The report added, citing another source, that her deep feelings for Odom may have been the cause for the pause in her relationship with Harden.

The latest report by TMZ follows another report by People magazine on Monday, citing a source as saying that Harden is keeping his distance from Kardashian out of respect for Odom’s condition. Odom was discharged Monday from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas to be taken to a medical center in Los Angeles and was accompanied by Kardashian in a medical helicopter. Odom was found unconscious in a brothel last week and is said to have taken herbal sexual-enhancement tablets the day before he was found.

"He (Harden) is so nice and being as supportive as humanly possible given the situation," the source said, according to People, adding: "Lamar essentially has zero consistent family other than the Kardashians, and James understands that. The last thing he would want to do would be to add more stress to her plate."

Reports on Monday also said that Harden and Kardashian were in “constant communication” since she reached Las Vegas. “They have mostly been exchanging text messages, and there have been phone calls too.”

Kardashian and Odom split up in 2013, but only signed divorce papers in July this year. The two, however, are still legally married as the divorce papers are yet to be processed completely. Kardashian started dating Harden, 26, in June.
