Two years after their initial filing it seems Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom are finally ready to end their marriage. The news comes more than three months after it was reported that their divorce case was going to be dismissed by the courts.

According to TMZ, both Kardashian and Odom have signed the necessary legal documents to end their marriage. The paperwork was filed July 17. The estranged spouses are said to be awaiting a judges signature, which will officially close the chapter on their romantic relationship for good.

As we previously reported, Kardashian and Odom's divorce was close to being dismissed by the California court system. The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star reportedly ignored repeated requests that she file a default divorce judgment or be forced to start the process all over again. At the time it was reported that she had opted to ignore the court's warnings because, "she doesn't want to deal" with divorce. It was believed that she had no plans to "take any action," giving many "Khlomar" fans hope that the couple would reconcile.

While they have decided to move forward with their divorce plans, Kardashian and Odom reportedly remain close. The 31-year-old has reportedly served as a major support system as her former husband struggles with the loss of two friends, Jamie Sangouthai and Bobby Heyward. Sangouthai died June 14 after contracting a flesh-eating bacteria caused by his consistent IV drug use. Heyward died less than a week later from an alleged drug overdose. Family and friends were said to be fearful that Odom would relapse and eventually overdose himself.

Kardashian and Odom married in September 2009 at Kris Jenner's Calabasas home after just one month of knowing one another. The wedding was, of course, filmed for E!'s cameras. For years fans admired the unbreakable bond Kardahsian and Odom shared which earned them a spinoff series titled, "Khloé and Lamar." Sadly their seemingly perfect marriage began to crumble in 2013 as rumors of Odom's infidelity and drug use ran rampant. Odom later admitted to having cheated on his then-wife, which Kardashian shared with the world during an emotional episode of "KUWTK." The reality TV star allowed viewers into her life, showing her many attempts to help get her soon-to-be ex-husband past his various issues before filing for divorce in December 2013. As of April 10, Kardashian had not taken the necessary legal action to get rid of Odom's last name.
