Kim Kardashian has decided to end her professional and probably even her personal relationship with her assistant, Stephanie Shepherd.

On Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kourtney Kardashian told her younger sister that she and Shepherd had a conversation about life. The assistant told Kourtney that she feels unfulfilled work-wise. Shepherd has been working for Kardashian since 2013.

Kardashian wasn’t pleased with the fact that Shepherd opened up to her sister about something that concerned her. But Kourtney stressed that it wasn’t as though Shepherd wanted to really talk behind her boss’ back. In the end, Kourtney said that Kardashian should prepare an answer if and when Shepherd tells her that she already wants to quit her job.

Following Sunday’s episode, a rep confirmed to People that Kardashian and Shepherd have parted ways. “Kim made a decision to let Stephanie go. She was a good assistant but when Stephanie wanted to transition into a larger role with Kim’s brand and businesses, it just didn’t work. Kim gave her the chance but after a short period of time it became clear that Stephanie just didn’t have the knowledge to take on a role like that. Kim made an executive decision to part ways,” the rep said.

The rep added that Shepherd is still communicating with Kardashian’s other siblings. In last week’s episode, Kardashian pointed out to Kourtney that the latter has a weird relationship with Shepherd. She said that the two seem to be a little too close. Kardashian’s rep confirmed that the reality TV star and Shepherd are currently not talking.

Earlier this year, Shepherd spoke with Refinery 29 about what it’s like to work for Kardashian. “I was doing her schedule, doing her laundry, booking travel, putting the stroller together and all of these things. But I wasn’t nervous. I was just excited, always staying longer than I needed because I was trying to prove myself,” she said.

The former assistant added that she and Kardashian’s other staff moved in to Kris Jenner’s home after North West was born. At that time, she had no idea how to take care of a baby, but Jenner made her and everyone feel at ease.
