Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s fashionably late entrance to Lanvin’s Paris Fashion Week spring/summer 2015 runway show Thursday resulted in a barrage of negative attention from fellow event-goers. The NY Daily News reports that after the duo appeared mid-event, West, 37, scolded the upset crowd for reportedly “booing," blaming his late arrival on a meeting with line’s creative director, Alber Elbaz.

A video of the incident, obtained by TMZ, shows West and Kardashian being hounded by photographers before West separates from his reality-TV belle to talk to address the hecklers. “Alber asked to see us!” West can be heard telling the crowd. “Don’t boo us. Alber asked to see us. Don’t boo us. We’re not late! We’re not late!” Unfortunately for West, who soon after returned to his front-row seat, his statement didn’t subdue other attendees who continued to laugh and boo the “Stronger“ performer.

Unlike her rapper beau, Kardashian doesn’t seem too fazed by the negative attention. The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star has been using the spotlight to tout her bronzer makeup line on social media. “Can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on…more to come, October 1! #KardashianGlow,” she said Friday.

West's outburst occurred just hours after Kardashian, 33, took a tumble after being hugged by an overzealous fan and notorious red carpet prankster Vitalii Sediuk while entering Balmain’s Paris Fashion Week show Thursday morning. In a video of the scuffle, Sediuk can be seen hugging Kardashian’s legs while crowds of fans and security surround the pair, eventually causing the reality-TV vixen to fall.

Insiders close to Sediuk deny claims he pulled Kardashian’s hair during the scuffle. “Because of the mess, Kim may have lost her balance,” a source told the Daily Mail. “But Vitalii didn’t mean any harm.”

Vitalli, who is best known for attacking Brad Pitt at the the Los Angeles premiere of the "Maleficent" in May, said he meant no harm. “The prank with Kim was my protest that U.S. banned me from entering the country,” Sediuk said in a statement to E! News. “I hope Kim is ok and won’t be mad at me as I didn’t mean any harm Kanye is one lucky man as Kim is a Goddess!”
