Just one week ago it was rumored that U.S. Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour banned reality star Kim Kardashian from the Met Gala at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Now, one week later, Kim Kardashian is tweeting out personalized messages to Vogue Italia editors and photographers, thanking them for the wonderful time she had during her Vogue Italia photo shoot.

Kim Kardashian tweeted a photo from her shoot for the European edition of the fashion magazine to her 14.6 million followers on Sunday.

Amazing shoot today for Vogue Italia! Thank you @Rushka_Bergman& @akafrancesco for your creative genius!!! the E! star tweeted, with an accompanying photo of her in a cropped wig and black leather jacket.

Franca Sozzani, editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia, tweeted: @KimKardashian will be the star of photo shoot in the July/August number of L'#UomoVogue. So, expect Kardashian's Vogue debut to hit shelves in just a couple months.

Kim looked like the spitting image of her 56-year-old mother, Kris, with a cropped brunette wig and dark eye makeup. The voluptuous 31-year-old wore a series of glamorous all-black outfits, including a motorcycle jacket, a feathered gown and a skimpy leather dress.

Although an inspiration board showed black and white images of androgynous models and old time paparazzi shots, she seemed to be channeling her manager mother Jenner even more so when she switched into a leather jacket and shorts, commented the Daily Mail.

Fashionista noted that Kim Kardashian's Vogue Italia editorial should not come as that much of a surprise.

Vogue Italia isn't afraid to go after pop culture and give it the Vogue treatment (see: Haute Mess) and this is why Sozzani's mag is always one of our faves to watch, no matter what you think of the subject matter, wrote Fashionista's Cheryl Wischhover.

This is not the first fashion magazine Ms. Kim Kardashian has been featured in. She is not just tabloid fodder. Kardashian posed naked for the cover of W magazine November 2010 Art issue. She has also appeared on the cover of Bazaar, Allure, InStyle, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire.

However, she has not yet made an appearance in U.S. Vogue and maybe never will.

RadarOnline.com first reported that Wintour had banned Kardashian from the Met Gala. Anna hates Kim. Why would she be invited to the event? It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn't fit that bill at all, said the source.

Adding that no one should expect Kardashian on the cover of U.S. Vogue any time soon.

Anna Wintour would allow Kim Kardashian on the cover of Vogue over her dead body. As long as Anna in charge you will NOT see Kim on Vogue.
