After commemorating their third wedding anniversary, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have something else to celebrate, the rapper’s 40th birthday.

On Thursday, Kardashian wished West a happy birthday on both Twitter and Instagram. In the social media posts, Kardashian shared a photo of the two holding hands while looking overjoyed to be in one another’s company.

“Happy Birthday babe I love you so much! You inspire me every day to be a better person! I’m so grateful for you,” she captioned the photo.

The reality star also retweeted a post which featured her special birthday message to her husband that is only available for viewing by those who subscribe to her app.

“Happy birthday, babe! I know you don’t have social media anymore, so you’re not going to see it anyway - And I’m going to be with you to tell you! But if I don’t post it all the stories will start so… I love you so much! Happy birthday!” she wrote.

“The stories” Kardashian is most likely referring to are the ongoing reports that her marriage is in trouble. Following Kardashian’s emotional robbery in October 2016, the reality star has been in a fragile state.

During her visit to the city of love during Paris Fashion Week, the apartment in which Kardashian was staying in was broken into by several thieves. The reality star was held at gunpoint and robbed of her jewelry and money all the while fearing for her life.

Despite her traumatic experience, the star had to snap herself out of her emotional state about a month later when West was hospitalized for mental exhaustion.

After a few months of laying low, the two seemed to be in a good place with Kardashian later appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where she explained how the robbery changed her for the better.

“I know this sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me. I don’t want to start crying, but I feel like that was so meant to happen to me. I’m such a different person,” she told host Ellen DeGeneres.

Rumors of a split began to swirl once again when the star arrived at the Met Gala solo in May. However, Kardashian insisted that her husband simply chose to skip the NYC event this year. “He’s at home,” she revealed on the red carpet.

“He’s been taking some time off and really loving that,” the star added.

Kardashian made sure to acknowledge her and West’s third wedding anniversary a few weeks later on May 24 with a sweet photo of the couple smiling and holding hands. “3 down, a lifetime to go,” she captioned the Instagram photo.

Kardashian and West share two children together, daughter North, 3, and son Saint, 1. The two began dating in 2012, not long after Kardashian ended her marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries. By 2013, the couple welcomed their first child together and got engaged a few months later.

In 2013, Kardashian gushed to Cosmopolitan about just how great her relationship with West was. “I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me,” she told the publication.

“I used to think, well, can you really have it all? The truth, the excitement, and the passion? Now I know you can,” she said.

Although Kardashian and West have had their ups and downs, it seems like the couple is slowly but surely becoming stronger than ever and the reality star will most likely make her husband’s birthday one that he won’t forget.
