Kim Kardashian may be preparing for another split—this time from her own family. The new mother has hired a different publicist to represent her, after years of being represented by PMK*BNC’s Jill Fritzo, according to reports.

Fritzo was listed just last year as one of the 20 most powerful Hollywood publicists by Business Insider, and for good reason. In addition to the other Kardashian sisters Khloe and Kourtney, her clients include Brooke Shields, Denise Richards and Michael Strahan.

The separation really should come as little surprise, as Kardashian, 32, has been in the spotlight less and less since she started dating Kanye West and had his child, 4-month-old North West. It is no secret that the 36-year-old rapper is very fond of his privacy, and he may be trying to push his girlfriend in the same direction.

It is presumed that West advised Kardashian to get a new publicist and she agreed, as she has told her family in the past that West is her first priority in life now.

Kardashian even stated in an interview with Time magazine last May that she likely will not have North on her E! reality show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” which is very unlike the paparazzi-friendly star. “I don't think so. Not as of now,” she said when asked about her newborn being featured.

“Kim wants to set herself apart from the Kardashian p.r. machine, and Kanye West advised her to build her own team,” a source tells the New York Post’s Page Six.
