Kim Kardashian gave Marie Claire magazine an interview before splitting with husband Kris Humphries. Here are some of the quotes from the article for the magazine's December issue, which hits newsstands on Nov. 22.

Regarding the then-status of her marriage: I feel like where we're at right now is the best time in my life.

On broadcasting the wedding: I felt like if I didn't show the wedding, it would be upsetting for people who have taken this journey with me.

On Humphries: I'm not worried about him at all. We have a lot of trust, and I don't think either of us would do anything to break that. It makes life so easy. He's such a good guy; he is so down-to-earth, and it's such a reality check. He is a normal guy, and I just want to chill out and be normal and not get glammed up all the time. He gets it. Sometimes my life can be really intimidating for people, but he allows me to work and do what I've gotta do.

This is not the first time a magazine interview and a celebrity marital separation have crossed paths.

Actor Ryan Reynolds gave GQ an interview for their Oct. 2010 issue while still married to actress Scarlett Johansson. They filed for divorce two months later in December.

Earlier that year, Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston became engaged during a brief reconciliation. They granted an interview to Us Weekly, which put a photograph of them with their son, Tripp, on the magazine's front cover.

I really thought we were over, Johnston told the magazine.

Soon after that, they were.
