NBA star Kris Humphries has voiced out a comment amid his good friend Rob Kardashian’s messy feud with Blac Chyna. Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband has, of course, sided with the only son of Kris Jenner.

On Monday, the 32-year-old spoke with Us Weekly to share his thoughts on the drama that’s going down between the former “Rob & Chyna” couple. “That’s my guy. I don’t read too much into it,” Humphries said during an interview at Starkey Hearing Foundation’s 2017 So The World May Hear Awards Gala in Saint Paul Minnesota. “Hopefully he’ll be alright.”

While Humphries appears to still be on good terms with his ex’s brother, the same cannot be said of his relationship with the latter’s stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner. Or so many people think after the basketball player took to Twitter to post a transphobic statement following Caitlyn’s interview with TV personality Diane Sawyer two years ago.

At the time, Humphries wrote, “Man, I’m glad I got out when I did. #Gottadoyou,” on his social networking account. Immediately after making his statement public, many came at Humphries and slammed him for allegedly being insensitive toward what Caitlyn (then Bruce) was going through.

After receiving major backlash, Humphries clarified that what he wrote was taken out of context. “I have and always will support Bruce hence #Gottadoyou. Now recognize I was too vague and sincerely apologize for the way this came across,” he wrote on social media, as per Daily Mail.

Humphries is not only known for being the NBA player. He also made headlines in 2011 for being married to Kim Kardashian for just 72 days. A two-part E! special covering the preparations and the wedding was even aired at the time despite Kim filing for divorce prior to the premiere of the show.

In response to Kim K’s shocking gesture, Humphries filed for annulment, saying that his ex-wife simply used their wedding as a publicity stunt to promote the Kardashian clan’s long-running reality show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”

Kim has since addressed her shortlived marriage with Humphries. She went on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” last May and opened up about her previous marriage. “I knew on the honeymoon it wasn’t going to work out. It’s just one of those life lessons you have to learn, and it’s OK,” she was quoted as saying by Life & Style.
