Kingdom Hearts III is still far from release, but tiny details about the game are starting to trickle in thanks to a new Famitsu interview translated by Gematsu. Among other tidbits, we’ve learned the name of one of the game’s massive bosses.

Last month at the Monaco Anime Game International Conferences, franchise director Tetsuya Nomura spoke at a panel. During the proceedings, he showcased the screenshot below. At the time he confirmed the action takes place in Thebes against a new Heartless. As seen in trailers from as far back as E3 2015, Sora’s keyblade can transform into a shield. This ability is called Power Form.

Now, a few weeks later, we have more details about the pictured encounter. According to the transcription, we can officially call this particular creature a Rock Troll. The enemy was also described by Nomura as a “middle boss” that players will confront prior to the world’s main one.

It’s further discussed that keyblade transformations like the one pictured won’t always relegate to an attack or defensive strategy. “How a Keyblade transforms depends on the Keyblade,” Nomura mused.

For those who want a little more Kingdom Hearts in their lives today, it’s worth reminding our readers that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 will be released March 28 exclusively on PS4. That date marks the fifteenth anniversary of the first game’s Japanese release.

Kingdom Hearts III is in development for PS4 and Xbox One.
