Nick Jonas is very proud of his friend, MMA pro fighter Juan “The Spaniard” Archuleta, for the latter’s latest victory. The 24-year-old “Jealous” crooner even took to social media to give a shoutout to the 29-year-old mixed martial artist on Monday.

On Instagram, Jonas posted a black-and-white photo of him and Archuleta, who also happens to work for Audience network’s “Kingdom” as one of the cast’s trainers. In the snap, the actor and his friend show off the four belts that Archuleta has won so far. Jonas did not forget to emphasize in the caption that Archuleta won them in just six months.

Jonas also exclaimed that he is quite proud to be working with Archuleta for his show that also centers on mixed martial arts. He even noted how proud he is to call the latter his friend. The singer-songwriter then called out to UFC to give Archuleta the “fights he deserves.”

Jonas wasn’t the only “Kingdom” cast member to rave about Archuleta’s skill in the physical combat sport. Jonathan Tucker, who acts as Jonas’s onscreen brother, also recognized Archuleta’s competence in the sport in August when he told MMAmania.com that the latter is “somebody that should definitely be on your radar as an up and coming fighter.” At the time, the 32-year-old actor revealed that the cast had training with Archuleta, Greg Jackson and his team and Joe Daddy Stevenson “every day, twice a day” for the show.

Meanwhile, Jonas made headlines late last week after expressing his excitement for the return of his fellow Disney channel alum Selena Gomez to the studio. His comment on the latest update about the “Kill Em with Kindness” songstress was even taken by many Selenators to be a hint at a possible collaboration between the two artists, as per the New York Daily News.

Aside from returning to the music scene, Gomez also announced last week that she’s the new face of luxury brand Coach. “I am so excited to work with Coach and love the clothes and accessories designed by Stuart Vevers,” Gomez said in a statement. "I am especially looking forward to getting to know the Coach team as well as becoming involved in the foundation’s support of Step Up. On top of all that, collaborating on a piece with Stuart for next fall makes this beyond special to me.”
