Episode 2 of “Game of Thrones” season 6 gave fans a big story twist when the character Jon Snow was brought back to life by Melisandre. With Snow’s return to the land of the living, Kit Harington has shared his thoughts over his character’s death and resurrection in the HBO show’s new season.

Speculations of Harington’s “Game of Thrones” character Snow being brought back to life has been swirling following the events that transpired in the season 5 finale of the HBO series. Loyal fans, who theorized that something magical will happen to Snow in “Game of Thrones” season 6, have been celebrating given the final scene shown in episode 2 titled “Home” that aired on Sunday. In that scene, the said character suddenly drew in a huge breath and opened his eyes, which is a clear sign that he has come back to life.

In previous interviews with the actor, he indicated that he only filmed a few scenes for “Game of Thrones” season 6 that involved a dead Snow. However, Harington has now extended his apologies for lying to fans during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Asked what he wanted to say to loyal viewers of the HBO show following the release of episode 2, Harington stated “Sorry.”

He commented that he was “sorry for lying to everyone” to keep the “Game of Thrones” season 6 secret about his character under wraps. Harington also commented that he was happy that many fans became upset over Snow’s death in season 5. He admitted that his “biggest fear” was that no one would care that his character died.

Following the release of “Game of Thrones” season 6 episode 2, many loyal fans took to social media to comment over Snow’s resurrection. A survey conducted by E! News that asked viewers whether they were annoyed over the story twist has showed that more than 80 percent of the respondents were happy that Snow has come back.

Meanwhile, Harington teased that avid viewers should look forward to Snow’s role in season 6 of the HBO show. He stated that season 6 will be a “massive” and “big” season for his character, as indicated in a separate Entertainment Weekly report. The actor even commented that Snow will feature “very prominently” in “Game of Thrones” season 6.
