Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno was arrested for drunk driving in Denver on February 1st. The 24-year-old was doing around 70 in a 45 construction zone in his Bentley, when cops pulled him over around 1:15 a.m., according to reports. Moreno's license plate on his 2007 Bentley read SAUCED, which is a common term for being drunk.

According to TMZ, police said that Moreno smelled like booze. Lynn Kimbrough, a spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney's Office, said that the running back tested poorly enough on roadside tests to be arrested for a DUI and DUI per se. DUI per se indicates perhaps a higher level of intoxication than DUI, said Kimbrough. The Broncos player was also cited for careless driving and driving without proof of insurance.

Moreno had a run in with the law back in 2010 when he was involved in a bar fight. He was not charged.

The Denver Broncos released a statement regarding Moreno's DUI arrest, stating, We take the incident involving Knowshon Moreno very seriously and are thoroughly reviewing this matter. Our organization will continue to gather information and closely monitor this issue while the legal process runs its course.
