Following his latest arrest, rapper Kodak Black has remained silent, but we now know how the “Lockjaw” aritst is feeling, thanks to his attorneys.

According to the Sun Sentinel, Black was “saddened” by the arrest which occurred on Tuesday, his lawyer Allan Stephen Zamren said. The 19-year-old rapper was taken into custody on allegations that he had violated conditions of his house arrest.

Court documents claim the rapper had failed to complete a mandatory anger management program and also went on two unauthorized trips but his attorneys say it was a misunderstanding.

Kodak’s lawyers claim he was allowed to attend a boxing match in Cincinnati, Ohio and say his trip to a strip club in Miami can be cleared up. As for how long the hip-hop artist will be spending in jail, his attorneys don’t expect it to be much longer.

“We are vigorously defending this, and hopefully it’ll be resolved next week,” said Zamren. Kodak’s other attorney, Gary Kollin, defended his client, saying, “He’s not just out there as an entertainer,” and said the rapper’s latest song “Tunnel Vision,” shows that he has an “extreme social consciousness with regard to improving race relations.”

After news of the rapper’s arrest broke, his record label, Atlantic Records, released a statement and revealed the remaining dates of his tour would be postponed. “We are sorry to hear about the recent circumstances surrounding Kodak Black,” the statement read. “His lawyers are working diligently on this matter and are hopeful that this will be resolved by next week. The remainder of Kodak Black’s ‘Back and Better’ Tour has been postponed. Details on rescheduled tour dates [are] forthcoming.”

Kodak has yet to release an album, but his debut project is scheduled to release on March 31. The young rapper also scored his first top 40 hit with the release of his song “Tunnel Vision,” which made it to No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 12 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart.
