Japanese game developer Konami, at the E3, has unveiled a high-definition re-mastered version of the Metal Gear Solid series which is set to launch in November for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

The new edition will include games from the series like Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker. The games will support the previous trophies and achievements.

Konami Digital Entertainment’s general manager Martin Schneider said the games have been enhanced to give them a fresh new look and that stealth fans can expect more excitement, a report on the PlayStation Universe website said.

The Metal Gear Solid series, released in 1998, has been one of Konami’s most popular gaming series till date.
