Kourtney Kardashian has put to rest doubts regarding her son Mason’s paternity by sharing DNA test results that show her long-term partner, Scott Disick, is the toddler’s father, E!News, which obtained the test results, reported.

"After three-and-a-half years of rumors and lies being spread by an individual I met briefly at a photo shoot, I am setting the record straight that Scott is Mason's father,” Kardashian told E!News. “While it saddens me to have to address these ridiculous lies—especially when the truth was never in doubt—this story must be put to rest."

Questions regarding Mason’s paternity were raised by Michael Girgenti, a male model with whom Kardashian did a photo shoot in 2008 for 944 magazine.

Girgenti, last week, filed a paternity lawsuit against Kardashian stating that she had unprotected sex with him in 2009, resulting in the pregnancy, and nine months later delivered Mason.

According to TMZ, Girgenti filed the paternity lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Aug. 8 seeking joint custody of Mason and also requesting DNA tests for Kardashian, Disick, Mason and himself. In the court filing, Girgenti also stated that Kardashian’s daughter, one-year-old Penelope, does not resemble Mason, suggesting that the children might be born to different fathers.

At the time, Todd Wilson, Kardashian’s attorney, took to the media to slam rumors about Mason’s paternity saying he was sure Girgenti had been paid to spread lies about the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star.

“This individual has been selling false and fabricated stories to the tabloids for years about Kourtney Kardashian and her son, Mason,” Wilson told TMZ. “Scott Disick is Mason’s father. We have not seen the reported court filing, but we are informed that this individual has been seeking to get paid to publish his ridiculous pleading.”
