Kris Jenner, who recently separated from Bruce Jenner, said she regrets that she divorced her first husband, Robert Kardashian. The Jenners recently announced that they were calling it quits after 22 years of marriage, but they remain “best friends.”

The Kardashian matriarch, 57, sat down with New You magazine to dish about her first marriage and her children. Most telling in the interview, however, was that she said the late Kardashian was the one that got away.

"The one regret, if I had to do it over, would be divorcing Robert Kardashian," she told New You via People. "But then there wouldn't have been Kendall and Kylie, so that's the way I look at it."

The Jenners got married a month after her divorce to Kardashian was finalized. Both partners brought four children from their previous relationship into the marriage and then had two children together: Kendall, 17, and Kylie; 16.

"Everything happens for a reason,” she added, “and we learn from our mistakes. I thought I was so smart when I was young; I was fearless."

Now she sees some of her traits in her daughters. As for the most famous Kardashian, Jenner said she also has similarities with Kim. "Our personalities are very much alike.”

Jenner added Rob is just like his dad. "My son is identical to his father, Robert -- they look alike, act alike and have the same mannerisms. It's an amazing reminder of what an amazing dad Robert was. He was a great husband and a good person."

But she seems to see the most of herself in daughter Khloe, 29, the youngest Kardashian sister, who has been having marital problems with her husband, Lamar Odom, recently.

"Khloe is exactly how I am in the way she likes to nest and cook; the way she is with everything in her home -- even the way she makes a bed and sets a table," she said.
