A series of photos from the coming "Twilight" finale "Breaking Dawn: Part 2" depicting the stars of the vampire series, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, in a loving embrace has been published by the Hollywood Reporter. These pictures are coming out at an inconvenient time, with the real-life couple recently broken up after Stewart had an affair.

Bella Swan and Edward Cullen are the two main characters of the "Twilight Saga" and are portrayed by actors and former boyfriend and girlfriend Stewart and Pattinson. The leads in the movie adaptations of the Stephenie Meyer book series broke up when Stewart, 22, cheated on Pattinson, 26, with the 41-year-old director Rupert Sanders.

Regardless of the couple's current status, the characters they portray are seen in the latest photos from the film with sheer joy on their faces to be around each other. The vampire duo can be seen holding their daughter, sharing an embrace, celebrating Christmas with werewolf friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner), and gathered with the whole Cullen family.

Summit's last "Twilight" film is set for a Nov. 16 release date, and cast members, crew and friends are trying to defuse the hectic situation resulting from the very public scandal between Stewart and Pattinson, before "Breaking Dawn: Part 2" hits theaters.

"The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it's not such a bad thing for people to be reminded of that," stated "Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the'Twilight' movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon."

Jodie Foster, who starred alongside Stewart in the 2002 film "Panic Room," came to the defense of her longtime friend. "If I were a young actor today I would quit before I started," said Foster in to the Daily Beast about the treatment of young celebrities today.

"If I had to grow up in this media culture, I don't think I could survive it emotionally," Foster said. The 'Silence of the Lambs' actress later added, "The public horrors of today eventually blow away...Hopefully in the process you don't lose your ability to throw your arms in the air again and spin in wild abandon."

In Stewart's first public appearance after the scandal broke, she said, "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry." Despite Stewart's kind words, Sanders' brother-in-law said the affair lasted "from the last half of filming ['Snow White and the Huntsman'] and all through post-production," as reported by UK publication The People.
