Kristen Stewart is finally breaking her silence on her steamy affair with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. A day since Us Weekly released photos of Stewart and Sanders in an intimate embrace, the actress is now acknowledging the scandalous situation in a statement.
I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry.
Stewart, 22, has been seeing her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson since 2008. The pair were recently seen together this past Sunday at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Us Weekly reported that the actress was having a marathon makeout session with Sanders, 41, on July 17. The photographer who caught them in the act said that the two seemed like they couldn't get enough.
A source told People that Stewart just had a complete lapse in judgment, and that her brief fling with the married director was a mistake. She never meant to hurt anyone, continued the source.
Sanders and Stewart met when the Twilight actress was cast in 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman. The film also features Sanders wife, British Vogue model Liberty Ross. Ross and Sanders have two young children together.
Sanders, Ross and Pattinson have not released statement yet about Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders affair
