Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson had a pretty tumultuous year together after she was caught cheating on him with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders.

But the year didn’t start off bad for the “Twilight” superstars. Thanks to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, here's a detailed timeline of how “R-Patz and K-Stew” spent their 2012.

The lovers kicked off 2012 by throwing a New Year's Eve bash with all their friends in their Los Angeles home.

On March 3, Pattinson took his girlfriend on a romantic getaway to Paris.

They celebrated her 22nd birthday on April 9 by hitting up a few bars in Hollywood and finished filming the final “Twilight” movie, “Breaking Dawn: Part 2” on May 1.

A few weeks later, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” Stewart’s first major film role since she began playing Bella Swan for “Twilight,” was number one at the box office during its first week.

Then the 22-year-old was named the highest-paid actress in show business by “Forbes” on June 6.

To the delight of thousands of fans, Stewart and Pattinson joined their “Twilight” co-star Taylor Lautner at Comic-Con on July 11.

But it wasn’t long before mayhem began to spew onto the tabloids after Stewart was caught cheating on her boyfriend of nearly three years with her married “Snow White” director.

The pictures published by Us Weekly showed the philanderers kissing and intimately hugging in various places.

K-Stew didn’t deny the claims, but instead issued a public apology to R-Patz and begged for his forgiveness.

“I love him. I love him,” she said in the public statement.

The normally private couple had their personal troubles put on display before the world, and Pattinson virtually went into hiding to avoid being hounded by the media. He moved out of their home on July 28.

On Aug. 18, Stewart wasn’t ready to face the public and ditched her “On The Road” premiere in London, angering Francis Ford Coppola.

She was spotted for the first time in public on Aug. 21 and made her first appearance after the scandal on Sept. 7 for the Toronto Film Festival.

Two weeks later the couple was photographed together again for the first time, and reconciliation rumors began to swirl.

On Oct. 17, a picture surfaced confirming they were back together, with K-Stew hanging onto R-Patz’s arm.

The couple spent Halloween hand-in-hand and then on Nov. 12 they announced they were back together, just in time for the “Breaking Dawn: Part 2” premiere.
