Brooklyn State Senator Carl Kruger is expected to plead guilty to four out five corruption charges Tuesday afternoon.

Federal officials accuse Kruger, a Democrat, of accepting about $1 million in bribes in order to support several lobbyists and businessmen on various projects. Part of the plea deal with require Kruger to resign from his seat, reported the Daily News.

Kruger has been in office since 1994. He was slapped with a 53-page criminal complaint that allegedly presents evidence Kruger was selling out his constituents in order to support his lavish life style in Brooklyn. His trial was slated for Jan 17.
