Kylie Jenner is an independent woman and hasn’t received any financial help from mother Kris since she was 14. The now 17-year-old “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star claims she’s been paying her own bills and buying her own food for the past three years.

"My mom cut me off financially three years ago," Kylie told UK InStyle on Monday. “I pay for everything – my car, my gas, and food, as well as my clothes.”

According to TMZ, the reality star currently lives in a $2.7 million home in Calabasas that she purchased in February. She said she makes her money from her appearances on the E! reality television show, serving as a brand ambassador for Nip + Fab skincare, her collection at PacSun and a book called “Rebels: City of Indra” with older sister Kendall. She’s also endorsed a number of beauty products to her 25.9 million Instagram followers, including jewelry, OPI nail polishes, an electronic teeth whitening device and shoes. She’s also become somewhat of a style role model to many of her young fans, a gift she picked up from stepsisters Kim and Khloé.

"I think my style is a little bit darker thanks to my mom," she told InStyle. "There are a lot of skulls around her house and the furniture is mostly black and white. She wears a lot of black too, and I think that’s definitely rubbed off on me... feel like I dress like Khloé on my down days and Kim when I’m going out. If I’m just running out I’ll throw on a cute T-shirt, a pair of leggings and my Timberland boots. If I’m dressing up I love Céline and Saint Laurent, or for accessories Alaïa, Givenchy or Gianvito Rossi."

Kylie said she doesn’t put much thought into her exercise routine or diet, claiming she hadn’t hit the gym in about two and a half years. "I’m living out my youth not doing any exercise and eating what I want, which is pretty bad. I’m into yellow rice — you just cook it for 15 minutes, it tastes so good,” she said.
