Kylie Jenner has shut down the California facility of her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics, amid the massive wildfires. The announcement was made after Jenner was slammed on social media for selling overpriced makeup brushes.

On Sunday, it was revealed that the location of the facility has been severely impacted by the Thomas Fire. To ensure the safety of the staff, they have decided to shut down the headquarters temporarily, according to Entertainment Tonight.

A tweet from the brand’s official social media account also revealed that many of Jenner’s staff have been evacuated from their homes. They have also been relocated to a safe place.

Those who ordered items from Kylie Cosmetics may still receive their package on time, depending on when production will resume. Jenner and her team assured the reality TV star’s fans that they are doing everything to make sure that they can catch up with the demand.

Thomas Fire has affected thousands of people in the Ventura County and Santa Barbara County in Los Angeles. The massive fire started on Monday, Dec. 4, and is only 15 percent addressed by Sunday, Dec. 10.

Several other celebrities also had to evacuate their homes together with their pets to avoid danger.

Meanwhile, the shutting down of Kylie Cosmetics’ facility came just hours after Jenner was criticized for selling $360 makeup brushes. According to US Weekly, the kit consists of 16 different types of brushes from Jenner’s Silver Series.

After being slammed by fashion bloggers, Jenner responded by saying that the brushes she will be releasing are top quality. As such, they don’t compare to synthetic makeup brushes that may be purchased at a much lower price.

But despite Jenner’s explanation, her followers still think that the 16-piece makeup brush set is overpriced.

In a follow-up tweet, Jenner shared photos of makeup brush sets with their listed prices. The reality TV star said that she is not one to sell items that are too expensive. In fact, she always wants her clients to get their money’s worth.

This move once again drew flak on social media, with one follower saying that Jenner’s cosmetics line doesn’t compare to high-end brands.
