LA Galaxy will face Houston Dynamo in the final of the MLS Cup after beating Real Salt Lake 3-1 in the Western Conference championship.

In the process of becoming Western Champions, the Galaxy have given themselves a great opportunity to win the MLS Cup. Goals from Landon Donovan, Mike Magee and Robbie Keane sealed the win.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid star David Beckham played a key figure in the game, whipping in one of his trademark crosses for Magee to score the second. The Beckham-Magee combination has stood Galaxy in good stead, in the run-in to the final, and could prove crucial against Houston.

The final could also be Beckham's last game for Galaxy, as his five-year contract expires at the end of this campaign. He has been linked with number of moves back to Europe and England, but the 36-year-old dropped no hints, stating he was concentrating on the final.

I'm a Galaxy player right now. I'm 36 years old and I still enjoy soccer, he said. Right now we're focused on the Cup. We don't want to get too carried away. We did that a couple of years ago (Galaxy lost to Real in the MLS Cup, then) and paid for it.

The MLS Cup final will be played in Los Angeles on 20 November.
