The UK released its claimant count rate for the month of September coming in at 5.0% better than the projected 5.1% and higher than the revised prior reading of 4.9% from 5.0%. Jobless claims change for September fell to 20.8 thousand from the revised previous reading of 23.0 from 24.4 thousand and lower than the predicted 24.5 thousand.

ILO unemployment rate for the three months ending in August remained steady at 7.9% lower than the expected reading of 8.0 percent.

In other news, the average earnings including bonus for the three months ending in August, fell to 1.6% lower than the revised previous reading of 1.8% from 1.7% yet higher than the estimated reading of 1.4%, while the same reading but excluding bonus declined to 1.9% inline with the forecasted reading and lower than the preceding 2.2 percent.
