Ironically, the Lady Gaga Harper's Bazaar shoot is arguably the singer's most unusual to date.

Never one to follow conventions, Lady Gaga is known for her colorful, bold and theatrical costumes. In the Bazaar shoot, however, Gaga goes natural.

In the accompanying interview with Harper's Bazaar, she explained that it's not about having a natural photo.

Rather, it's being honest and sincere to the core of what you do, she said. Whether I'm wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I'm always the same person inside.

She said she's very free-spirited and shared that she used to run around naked with the babysitter as a child.

Lady Gaga tweeted her Bazaar cover photo (below), crediting Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the photo, Valium Garland for the makeup, Frederic Aspiras for the hair, and Hussein Chalayan for the fashion.
