During Lady Gaga's charming Thanksgiving special A Very Gaga Thanksgiving, the pop icon revealed that she had stripped down for a nude sketch by legendary crooner Tony Bennett, who is also a talented painter and sketch artist.

In a scene reminiscent of Titanic, Gaga posed naked so Bennett could sketch her for a Vanity Fair issue to be published next year.

Gaga revealed the news while being interviewed by Katie Couric during A Very Gaga Thanksgiving.

I walked in and said, 'Well Tony, here we are,' and I dropped my robe and I got into position, the singer explained. I felt shy and thought, 'It's Tony Bennett: Why am I naked?'

The idea was generated by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. But it was certainly no random pairing.

Gaga and Bennett had previously worked together, recording The Lady is a Vamp for Bennett's Duets II album.

The blonde superstar is a big fan of Bennett, 85. He's so handsome. I feel terrible whenever his wife is around because he's so charming and such a gentleman.

The feeling is mutual. She is the most beautiful person I ever met, but there is something special about her, said Bennett.

The A Very Gaga Thanksgiving special opened with a duet by Gaga and Bennett. The two sang The Lady Is a Tramp.

The icon paid tribute to Gaga, saying she has a touch of theatrical genius in her and she might become America's Picasso.

We wonder if, during the sketching, Bennett played a little Celine Dion music to lighten the mood.
