A sense of urgency came across Lady Gaga Monday as she announced she will release her new single Born This Way two days before schedule.

The pop star was supposed to debut the song, which is off her new album also titled Born This Way during her performance at the 53rd Grammy Awards show Sunday, Feb. 13.

The singer previously tweeted So many nights I've wept, too many thoughts to say. But now it's less than 12 days left, till I was Born This Way. X Mother Monster.

Her fans, or as she calls them Little Monsters, can rejoice as the Grammy-award-winning singer had a change of heart and again used Twitter to announce the early release.

Can't wait any longer, single coming Friday, she tweeted.

Fans can expect all the hype to be true with 'Born This Way' and with the album, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who's heard the song, told MTV News. And you know what? It's a very gay song - unapologetically, gay-in-your-face gay - but it's also a universal song that can relate to everyone. To all of us outsiders, to all of us freaks, to all of us who feel different. And the music is undeniable. It sounds like a smash. It is a smash. It is one of the best songs of Gaga's career.

Lady Gaga is nominated for a number of Grammy awards including Album of the Year for The Fame Monster, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for Bad Romance, Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for Telephone featuring Beyoncé and Best Pop Vocal Album for The Fame Monster.

The Grammys will air Sunday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
