Lady Kitty Spencer, Princess Diana’s niece was so fascinated with Australia that she extended her stay in the country and changed her return flight, to stay on for another week, according to reports. She was in the country as a special guest at the 2015 Melbourne Cup. She gave a nod to the country by donning a dress by Australian designer Alex Perry for her stint.

She arrived to Australia by helicopter. The British beauty posted aerial pictures as she approached the racecourse where the horse races are held. Earlier, Kitty spent her time with animals at Victoria. She rubbed noses with a koala bear, fed a pygmy possum, and held hands with a kangaroo.

Kitty also got up close with dingoes and cradled a baby wombat in her arms at a sanctuary specialising in native Australian animals. She then headed to Melbourne. She posted several pictures and some videos of her visit to the country on her Instagram.

“It’s absolutely incredible, I can’t believe this whole thing is put together every year. It’s such a lovely tradition, you come here and see the effort people make and the fun that people are having,” she said of the annual derby event. Kitty attended the race, 30 years after her aunt Diana dazzled at the 1985 Melbourne Cup alongside Prince Charles during their official visit to Australia.

Kitty Spencer wore an ankle length dress on the first day of her appearance at the Melbourne Cup. The white dress featured a high neck and was sleeveless. It also had peek-a-boo detailing all over, fitted top and flared skirt.

She accessorised her outfit with a sparkling fascinator by London milliner Stephen Jones. Kitty’s blonde hair was kept in centre part and styled in soft waves. Her make-up was kept natural with kohl-lined eyes and a hint of lipgloss. Kitty wore nude strappy high heels and carried a sparkling silver clutch.

The 24-year-old daughter of Earl Spencer, Diana’s brother made her second appearance in another white dress during Stakes Day at the Emirates marquee. The dress featured a pink design just below the neck. It was also sleeveless and had a high neckline.

Kitty teamed up her ensemble with a cream and white twisted fascinator, gold metallic heels and a matching box clutch. Her makeup was kept simple and included soft foundation with touches of bronzer and a pale gloss. Her long blonde locks were left loose over her shoulders, worn in soft curls.
