Looks like it is back to Los Angeles for Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian-Odom, because Odom is officially done with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it's in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team, Odom said in a statement to ESPN.com. I'm sorry that things didn't work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs' organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.

Odom will leave the team immediately, but has not been cut. He will remain inactive for the rest of the season, which means he can still be traded at the end. Odom has struggled this season putting up career low numbers and was assigned to the Texas Legends, a NBA D-League team, for a few games after missing three games due to personal reasons and struggling to get his footing with the team.

Odom was traded to the Dallas Mavericks after a deal fell through for him to go to the New Orleans Hornets earlier this season. Odom signed a $8.9 million contract with the Mavericks.

Odom's trade drama and move to Dallas was documented on his show Khloe and Lamar on E! with wife Khloe Kardashian-Odom.

No comment has been made about what Odom's next move will be.
