Troubled athlete Lamar Odom could be returning to basketball after the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star reportedly met with the Los Angeles Clippers, a source told E! News. The 33-year-old spent the 2012-2013 season with the Clips and was also their fourth overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft.

Odom, who is famously married to Khloe Kardashian Odom, apparently met with head coach Doc Rivers and Clippers GM Gary Sacks on Friday. Accoring to People, Odom met with the Clippers for two hours, and they are close to a deal. "He has been talking to them for weeks," an insider told the news site. "He's close to signing. They were definitely apprehensive, but Lamar has shown huge improvement over the last few weeks and everyone around him believes he's sober."

Odom’s notoriously been struggling with substance abuse and purportedly cheated on his celeb wife with various women, but after a month of sobriety the former Los Angeles Lakers star is ready to get back on the court. "He is taking steps to get himself back on track," a source told the news site in October.

Throughout the athlete’s drug use and supposed infidelities, he and his wife continued to wear their wedding rings. Now, the reality duo is reportedly going to therapy to work on their relationship. They are using counseling "as a forum to talk through all of their issues," the source told the news site.

Just because Kardashian has tirelessly stayed by her husband’s side during their rough patch doesn’t mean she was not damaged. "Khloé has been very, very hurt by everything,” the source added. “There is a lot about Lamar that she is just learning, and if they have any chance of making this work, there is a lot they need to come to terms with.”

Kardashian is currently promoting the Kardashian Kollection, her fashion line with her equally famous sisters Kim and Kourtney. The starlet, 29, has visited cities like London and Amsterdam during her tour overseas so far.
