Lamar Odom and Scott Disick now have yet another thing to bond them — the men are both recovering from addiction. Lamar has discussed his October 2015 overdose in a Nevada brothel on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” but has yet to provide much insight into his life afterward.

In a preview for Season 12, episode 5, shared by E! Online, Lamar and Scott, who was with Kourtney Kardashian for nearly a decade ending in July 2015, sit down to discuss the major accident that nearly cost the former Los Angeles Lakers player his life. Lamar, 36, reveals that he remembers a lot of the moments leading up to his hospitalization. Khloé Kardashian’s estranged husband shares with Scott that he was “scared half to death,” which the father of three seems to understand. Scott tells Odom that he came to visit him in the hospital, but had to leave because he simply “couldn’t handle” seeing him in that state.

“I just felt like you were just dying to talk, but you couldn’t and you didn’t know what to do,” Scott says.

They then begin discussing Lamar’s road to recovery, which Scott relates to. The retired NBA player acknowledges that sobriety has not been easy, telling Scott he’s taking things “day by day.” Scott, who has been in and out of rehab several times in the last few years as a result of his heavy drinking, tells Lamar that the uncertainty of sobriety, as well as the weeding out of “bad people,” have been the hardest parts of his experience.

The clip, released by the network, comes just hours after news broke that Lamar is reportedly using again. According to TMZ, friends and family members are concerned about him. Sources tell the publication that he was confronted about his strange behavior of late, at which time crack pipes and other paraphernalia were allegedly found in his home. Lamar was urged to enter rehab, but is said to have laughed off the suggestion.

It is believed that Lamar has been clean and sober since his accident, though he has been spotted drinking on more than one occasion since his January release from the hospital. In March, a patron at Johnny O’Brien Pub in Sherman Oaks, California, spotted Lamar ordering drinks at the bar. He was said to be there with friends and left just after 1 a.m. The following day, he was seen wearing the same clothes as the night before at an Easter Sunday Mass with the Kardashian family. More recently, on May 3, Lamar popped into a mall bar at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. TMZ wrote that he was visiting the shopping center with a friend. While the other party shopped, Lamar slipped away and treated himself to a glass of cognac. He is reported to have spent $60 in the establishment where he spent most of his time chatting up female patrons.
