Khloé Kardashian is frustrated that she contracted a staph infection while caring for her husband Lamar Odom and is back home, being monitored closely by a doctor. Odom is currently admitted at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is recovering from an overdose of cocaine, herbal Viagra and other drugs.
"She is so frustrated by the fact that she was doing something good and then THIS happens," a source told People magazine. Kardashian had also said on Twitter Thursday that she was taking antibiotics and painkillers to cure the infection.
A second source told the magazine: "She just needs some medication and some rest and she will be fine. She's under a doctor's care and they are happy with how she is progressing."
Khloé’s sister Kourtney talked to E! News on Thursday and said: "She's OK. She's not feeling well, but she's OK." Another source told E! News Thursday: "Khloe has experienced fever, fatigue, and swollen glands. She has an infection but hasn't been diagnosed yet."
According to a report by TMZ, Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner is "freaked out" about her daughter getting the infection because Jenner’s step-father, Harry Shannon, died due to a staph infection. Khloé’s other sister Kim also tried visiting her on Wednesday when she was at the hospital, but the doctors did not allow that to happen because the latter is eight months pregnant.
A representative for Cedars-Sinai also told TMZ that their incidence for staph infection is below the state and national benchmark.
Khloé and Odom had signed their divorces in July but the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star got the papers canceled after the Los Angeles Lakers player was found unconscious in a brothel in Las Vegas. Khloé is currently dating Houston Rockets player James Harden.
