Landry's Restaurants Inc. reported first-quarter results on a selected basis due to an ongoing review of stock option granting practices.

Revenue from continuing operations rose 5 percent to $286.3 million for the quarter and sales at stores open for at least a year for its restaurants were essentially flat, the seafood restaurant operator said in a statement.

The company said it expects a net loss from discontinued operations for the first quarter due to the sale of Joe's Crab Shack in the fourth quarter. (Reporting by Neetha Mahadevan in Bangalore)
