The brother of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of child pornography, according to reports. Bruce Paddock, 58, was taken into custody at an assisted living center in North Hollywood early in the morning, according to NBC News.

It remained unclear exactly what led up to his arrest. Authorities declined to say more about the situation, but a law enforcement source told the Associated Press that the child pornography investigation occurred prior to the shooting in Las Vegas. A spokesperson for the FBI told the Los Angeles Times they had no comment Wednesday regarding the arrest.

Bruce Paddock’s brother, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, was the man responsible for killing 58 people and wounding hundreds more when he opened fire on a crowd of concert goers in Las Vegas Oct. 1.
