Naughty Dog’s action-adventure survival horror, "The Last of Us," is coming to the live stage next Monday at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California.

“To celebrate the launch of the PS4 version of ‘The Last of Us’, Naughty Dog brings last year’s Game of the Year to life in front of hundreds of fans in Santa Monica. This special one-night-only event will celebrate the artistry behind the game with a performance of the score, plus a ‘live read’ of key scenes featuring the principal actors, as directed by Neil Druckmann. The creative team will also participate in a live audience Q&A,” PlayStation wrote on its web site. "The Last of Us" launched last June for the PS3 and will hit shelves July 29 for the PS4.

Though tickets sold out quickly, Sony promises you can still view the show on YouTube, Twitch or the Live Event Viewer.

Video game journalist Geoff Keighley helped organize the project in collaboration with Santa Monica-based Naughty Dog.

“I love great video game stories. Today, the narrative potential of our medium has never been greater. The best video games blend world-class acting, writing, music and gameplay to create art that rivals the best works in other entertainment mediums,” Keighley said on the PlayStation blog Monday.

“One Night Live will highlight the artistry behind ‘The Last of Us’ with a live reading of select scenes by the principal actors, under the direction of Neil Druckmann from Naughty Dog. Scheduled to appear are Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, Merle Dandridge, Hana Hayes and Annie Wersching. In addition, Academy Award winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla will perform selections from his score. How this all fits together will remain a bit of a mystery until it happens, but trust me when I say it will be a very special evening.”
