RTTNews - Monday, the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 4.7% year-over-year in May, slower than the 6.2% increase in the previous month.

Food prices increased 1.4% annually in May, while clothing and footwear prices dropped 4.5%.Transport charges declined 3.9%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.5% in May, after falling 0.4% in April. At the same time, the average prices of goods and services decreased by 0.6% and 0.4% respectively.
