Monday morning, the Conference Board released its report on leading economic indicators in the month of March, showing that its leading indicators index fell by a little more than economists had been anticipating.

The report showed that the leading economic index fell 0.3 percent in March following a revised 0.2 percent decrease in February. Economists had been expecting the index to fall 0.2 percent compared to the 0.4 percent decrease that had been reported for the previous month.
