At a time when HTC is going to reveal its new flagship smartphone, the HTC One A9 (Aero) on Sept. 6, a newly leaked teaser and unofficial photos reveal that the device resembles the iPhone 6 Plus in appearance.

According to Phone Arena, an unknown HTC smartphone has been spotted at the testing lab of the Taiwanese company. Speculations are rife that it is the HTC One A9 (Aero) flagship smartphone, although the exact moniker of the handset is still unknown.

A report from G for Games said that HTC has posted a teaser image of the purported handset on its Weibo account. It indicates that the company will be unleashing a new flagship on Sept. 6. In June, the CEO of the company, Cher Wang had announced that HTC will be releasing a new smartphone in October.

According to a report from Android Central, the appearance of the handset is very similar to the iPhone 6 Plus. Unlike the position of the camera on the Apple smartphone, the camera on the HTC One A9 (Aero) is placed at center. On its front, it also bears a promotion logo of the company.

The HTC A9 is expected to arrive with full HD resolution 2.5D curved display. The exact size of the display is not known yet. the display is also expected to be protected by Gorilla Glass 4.

Rumors suggest that it will be powered MediaTek Helio X20 chipset that features a ten-core processor along with Mali-T880 MP4 graphics. It will be assisted by 4 GB of RAM. It may come equipped with a large battery of 3,500 mAh capacity.

The HTC One A9 (Aero) will be available in color options such as Tyrant Gold and Dark Gray. It will be made available in the U.S. through AT&T and Sprint from next month.
