LeAnn Rimes, 29, is currently recovering from minor mouth surgery. The star tweeted the news to her more than 240,000 followers on Saturday.

K, coming clean....I had minor surgery this week and I've been in SO much pain it's not even funny. Nothing major just annoying! the singer tweeted. Pain pain go away!!!!!! When it's mouth pain and jaw pain it makes your whole head pound! YUCK

A rep for the singer told E! News that Rimes had minor oral surgery to correct TMJ, short for temporomandibular joint disorder. She is said to be healing quickly.

According to WebMD, TMD happens as a result of problems with the jaw, jaw joint and surrounding facial muscles that control chewing and moving the jaw. The temporomandibular joint is the hinge joint connecting the mandible or lower jaw to the temporal bone of the skull.

Rimes is reportedly recovering at her Malibu beach home.

After her earlier post about the pain, Rimes tweeted, The pain is subsiding finally for a moment. My head has been vibrating all day. Maybe the sand under my feet is helping.
