Three different parts of Pakistan were hit by bombings, killing at least 43 people, according to a report.

Two explosions occurred in Quetta, the capital of southwest Baluchistan, near a Shiite mosque, killing 22 people, the A.P. reported. Two women and several minors were among those killed.

The attacks came as the prime minister of the U.K. visited the capital to pledge his support in the fight against extremism.
