Free agent LeBron James has yet to officially announce where he plans to sign his next contract, but a slew of Internet rumors suggest that the four-time MVP may join the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Several of the Cavaliers rumors are linked to “Team LeBron,” James’ Twitter site. First, the official Team LeBron Twitter account followed a pair of local Ohio news outlets – Ohio.com and the Akron Beacon – leading some to suspect that James’ representatives are preparing for the media blitz that would inevitably occur if he signs with Cleveland.

Similarly, Grantland contributor Matt Borcas posted a tweet on Thursday which bore the testimony of a Web developer who examined code on LeBronJames.com. The unnamed source claims that newly created pages on the site are free of content, but utilize the Cavaliers’ navy, crimson and gold color scheme.

A third theory emerged after an Internet sleuth noted that James and Cavaliers players Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson had each added the phrase “La Familia” to their Twitter accounts. It’s unclear when each player made that change, but countless social media users have suggested that the phrase might be proof that the trio has discussed James’ planned arrival.

The gossip related to James’ intentions also extends beyond the Internet. On Wednesday afternoon, ESPN radio host Jorge Sedano tweeted a photo of a pair of moving trucks that were allegedly parked outside of James’ home in Miami. Later, Bleacher Report’s Ethan Skolnick claimed that James moves his cars every summer, but the photo still garnered thousands of shares on Twitter.

At present, these rumors are nothing more than speculation; James remains undecided about his future. Time will tell if they were actually indicative of his motives.
