The International Monetary Policy (IMF) Chief, Christine Legarde said yesterday that Hungary should provide tangible steps towards financial stability before they can seek any financial aid from the IMF.

After the meeting between Legarde and the Hungarian minister Tamas Fellegi, she said in a statement that talks should be held regarding the support provided by European partners and institutions.

Fellegi said he will gather with European peers next week ahead of the negotiations, and added Timing is very relevant ... and it is in the interest of the markets and in the interest of the Hungarian economy to go ahead with the negotiations as soon as possible,
